ARToolKit with Meta 2

ARToolKit with Meta 2

Hi,

I'd like to know if it'd be possible to run/use the ARToolKit with Meta 2 for multi marker detection.

Background: I'm currently working on a project trying to specify the 3d objects (simple cuboids) to be displayed once for multiple output devices
  • Projector working together with a Camera
  • Any AR-HMD, preferably Meta 2 (most likley using the ARToolKit unity plugin)
I've got the projector + camera part working and are now searching the web for answers to my second question but haven't found anything useful yet.

So is this possible or is the idea of using Meta 2 with ARToolKit even any good? Sadly, I won't have my hands on a Meta 2 in the near future for testing and also don't want to "waste" money if this isn't possible in the first place. Maybe someone already has some experience on this topic and is willing to share it.

We don't support the Meta2, unfortunately.

However, this blogger has done some research it seems.

Are you planing on supporting the Meta2 or is this something out of question?
I've already seen this blogpost but sadly this didn't really help me progress.

Do you have any recommendations on which HMD to use? Besides the BT-Series from epson?

Support can be added, with this being an open source project, we're waiting for contributions in this domain.

Unfortuantely, we have pressing matters with ARToolkit6 to attend to first, before we can further explore HMD options.
