Camera position from marker

Postby rohr_manuel » Sun Oct 02, 2011 9:03 am

Hi guys,

I've a little Problem I just can't figure out, hopefully someone of you can help me.

In my setup I use a fixed marker (just one; alway on the same position and orientation) and a moveable camera.
No I want the position of the camera, but seen from the markers coordinate system.
My problem is, that I want the height of the camera, but as the transformation matrix from the marker is alway relative to the coordinate system of the camera, the height changes when I rotate(pitch) the camera.

Can anyone please help me, would be great.

Best regards,
Manuel

Hello,

Old question. I will post what i found.

I solved it with this:
http://www.hitl.washington.edu/artoolki ... ition.html

Basically:

Code: Select all

arUtilMatInv(config->trans, camera_params);

And then, your position is in camera_params variable.

(in my case i use config->trans because i am using multimarker)
